Force Majeure
opened its doors in Lemon
Street, Truro, November 99`. The
shops main aim was to supply
good quality clothing and
combine it with the introduction
of new international brands and
a never seen before style,
concentrating on street wear.
The demand for
Force Majeure stock grew, and as
a consequence more shop space
was needed, which led to the
shop relocating to River Street
in October 01`. The new location
turned out to be a huge success,
and as a result a brand new
Force Majeure opened on
Discovery Quay, Falmouth.
Not even screaming seagulls
could ruin the pleasure of fresh
sea air mixed with the action on
the Square. By becoming a part
of the newly risen Event Square,
the shop started supporting
various local events within
music, street art and extreme
sports, which also reflected in
the clothing. In 05`, the two
existing shops made way for
another addition to the team,
taking fashion to an even higher
plane with the introduction of
Force Majeure Newquay. Yet
again, the shop evolved by
combining the already existing
street wear with high fashion
clothing introducing brands such
as Diesel, and MHI by Maharishi
Today, we continue our search
for new, unusual and innovative
quality clothes that will
inspire and turn a dull wardrobe
into a place of worship.
